Smiles Dental Remains a Washington Dental Service Preferred Provider

The Columbian online newspaper published an interview today with Dr. Jeromy Dixson, Smiles Dental president. Dr. Dixson spoke with staff reporter Aaron Corvin about how recent insurance-fee cuts made by the largest dental insurance provider in Washington, Washington Dental Service, based in Seattle, will impact patients and dentists alike.

According to Dr. Dixon, accepting the rate cuts will allow Smiles Dental patients to stay in-network and keep their out-of-pockets low. The Dr. explained that even though the cuts will impact Smile Dental revenues, they will focus on cutting dental lab expenses along with other measures to keep providing affordable quality dental care to all of their patients.
